How To Become a Bartender

Getting started in the profession is not difficult. Bartending positions usually require a high school diploma and bartending training. Many bartending schools offer programs that can be completed in 3 – 4 weeks and require a small investment of only a few hundred dollars. Generally, licenses or certifications such as a food service card and alcohol awareness card will be required for work. Other requirements vary significantly by jurisdiction.
