Certified Radiology X-Ray Technicians Determine patients’ x-ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physician and explain to patient. Position patient on examining table, set up and adjust equipment to view specific body area as requested by physician. Perform procedures using x-ray equipment under supervision of physician. Use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff. Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer generated methods.
