How To Become a Toxicologist
The requirements necessary to get into this field is straight forward. A career in toxicology starts at the high school level. At this point, it is best to concentrate on math, English, computer technology, chemistry, biology and physics. Participating in science fairs and clubs is also important. These are important extra-curricular activities that build experience and leadership. At the college level a baccalaureate degree in toxicology is not necessary. A first degree in Biology or Chemistry will suffice. It is best to take as many science based courses as possible especially mathematics and statistics. This will ensure an easy passage into toxicology graduate programs and a boost for the toxicologist salary.
