How To Become a Stock Broker

Becoming a stock broker is probably the hardest part of the entire process. In order to appeal to hedge funds or investment banks, you will need to really stand out. Going to college and getting your bachelor’s degree is a bare minimum requirement, as most stock brokers graduate with honors from the top colleges in the world. After a few years in the stock market, you will want to go back to school and get your MBA, or master’s in finance. Getting your master’s will enable you to get an even higher salary raise. In addition to having college degrees, you must display dedication, ruthlessness, work ethic, and leadership ability, if you want an investment bank to hire you as a stock broker.

The interview process for becoming a stock broker is not easy. It is a cut throat environment, so if you do not succeed the first time you should not be downhearted. If you are serious about becoming a stock broker, improve on your weaknesses and try again. Chances are you will be a far more appealing candidate after you have suffered the disappointment of rejection once or twice.
