Estheticians duties consists of using certain lamps and lights to magnify and evaluate the condition of the skin, they do facial massages, chemical peels to reduce fine lines and age spots. They can show anyone the proper way to take care of their skin, and even recommend skin care routines depending on your needs. They must also know how to apply and use wax to remove hair from the body and face. Some of them even sell cosmetics and apply makeup to clients, others help plastic surgeons and dermatologists with preoperative and postoperative skin care regimens for clients.

Estheticians have to do all of those things while constantly keeping records and scheduling appoints and also checking inventory for products within the place of work. As well as keeping themselves up, it can be an enjoyable job if you like making people feel good about themselves and want to be involved in the beauty industry, you must have the passion for it or you will not get any joy from doing it Estethicians salaries can greatly increase over the years, the hard work will pay off though.

Although training and schooling varies from state to state, they all require estheticians to be licensed from a cosmetology school or a local vocational program. You must always take an exam before you become licensed, the exam consists of a written test, and an oral test.
