EKG (Electrocardiogram) Monitor Technicians Conduct electrocardiogram (EKG) and stress testing to record patients’ cardiac activity. Obtain and record patient identification, medical history or test results and explain testing procedures. Operate the EKG electrocardiogram) machine to obtain a reading by attaching electrodes to the patients’ chests, arms, and legs connect to the (EKG) machine. Set up and calibrate specialized cardiac diagnostic equipment.
